The Barcolana Regatta takes place in early October in the Gulf of Trieste: it is a sailing regatta that engages maxi yacht ready to challenge shots at tacks and jibes, but is above all a feast for all the sailors involved and also for the numerous public that crowds Molo Audace in Trieste to welcome the winners.
The experience begins on Saturday morning in the marina of Muggia, 2 minutes from the center of Trieste, where the Venice Work Sailing Team will welcome guests and explain the event. During the day there will be a basic sailing course that will allow participants to better understand the Barcolana regatta, to train for the race and prepare for the sailing event.
The Saturday evening will be free and dedicated to the total immersion in the festive atmosphere with a chance to visit the exhibition stands and docks where the most beautiful boats are moored ( Alfa Romeo, Maxi Jena, James Spithill's RC44, Vasco Vascotto).
On Sunday, participation to Barcolana Regatta along with nearly 2,000 boats competing in the Gulf of Trieste and creating a show unique in the world.
